Reiki Level One Certification Class

Reiki is a Japanese healing technique that promotes stress reduction, relaxation, and healing through the channeling of universal life force energy. The term "Reiki" comes from two Japanese words: "Rei," meaning "universal," and "Ki," meaning "life energy." This practice involves transferring energy from the practitioner's hands to the recipient's body to enhance the body's natural ability to heal itself.

Reiki is based on the idea that an unseen "life force energy" flows through us and is what causes us to be alive. If one's life force energy is low, they are more likely to get sick or feel stressed. If it is high, they are more capable of being happy and healthy.

We can heal ourselves and others.

No prior experience or special skills are needed to attend a Reiki Level 1 class. The class is designed for beginners and provides all the foundational knowledge and techniques required to practice Reiki. The only requirement is an openness to learning and a willingness to engage with the material.

Reiki is grounded in five principles that serve as guidelines for personal and spiritual development:

1. Just for today, do not be angry.
2. Just for today, do not worry.
3. Just for today, be grateful.
4. Just for today, do your work honestly.
5. Just for today, be kind to others.

I offer ongoing support and community support to my students after class through:

 • Regular Reiki shares where you can practice with others.

 • Access our Soulful Reiki social media group to ask questions and share experiences. 

 • Additional workshops and advanced classes for further learning and certification.

 • Opportunities to receive guidance and mentorship from the Reiki Master and connect with fellow students.

These resources can be invaluable for continuing your Reiki practice and deepening your understanding.

A Reiki attunement is a ceremonial process conducted by a Reiki Master that opens and aligns your energy channels, allowing you to channel Reiki energy. During the attunement, the Reiki Master will use specific hand placements and symbols to facilitate the energy transfer. Participants often experience sensations such as warmth, tingling, or a sense of deep relaxation. The attunement is a sacred and transformative experience that enhances your ability to heal yourself and others.

For a Reiki Level 1 class, it’s recommended to bring:

 • Comfortable clothing that allows you to relax and move easily.

 • A notebook and pen for taking notes.

 • Water and snacks to stay hydrated and energized.

 • Any personal items that help you feel comfortable, such as a cushion or blanket.

 • An open mind and willingness to learn.

After completing the Reiki Level 1 class, you will be able to use Reiki to:

 • Perform self-healing sessions to promote relaxation, stress reduction, and overall well-being.

 • Offer Reiki to friends, family, and pets to support their health and healing.

 • Integrate Reiki into your daily routine to enhance your personal growth and spiritual development.

Reiki Level 1 focuses primarily on self-care and providing Reiki to those close to you.
